The Arles Amphitheater is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. It is an impressive Roman amphitheater dating back to the 1st century. Once used for gladiatorial combat, it now hosts performances and Camargue bullfights.

The Rencontres de la Photographie d'Arles is to photography what Cannes is to cinema.
